Cataracts Xena

Dear Dr. Yoza,

Our dog Xena lost her vision due to cataracts that had developed in both eyes. On September 2, 2007, she had surgery in both eyes. After surgery she could see again, but we had to put four different eye drops to control the pressure in her eyes. When medication alone didn’t properly control the pressure, she had laser eye surgery on May 12, 2009.

The pressure in both eyes continued to rise and the doses of her medications increased. The eye doctor informed us that if the pressure continued to go higher, Xena would suffer from extreme pain and taking out both of her eyes would be the only option left. Her eye pressure levels were at a high 72 reading. (Normal eye pressure readings should be below 25.)

On November 13, 2009, Xena received her first treatment from you Dr. Yoza. It’s been over one year and during her recent visit to the eye doctor on November 10, 2010, the pressure readings in her eyes were 43 for the right eye and 45 for the left eye. Her eye medication was also decreased.

We strongly believe that the combination of her medication and the treatments by you Dr. Yoza, have had a tremendous affect on her health. We will continue to provide treatments for Xena with you and hope the pressure in her eyes will continue to fall, as well as reducing her medication doses or stopping them completely!

We thank you for your help.
