Head Trauma Mix ♂ JayJay 3 years old
Aloha and thank you from the bottom of my heart!
You should see him! These are pictures from the day after your visit. JUST ONE DAY! ONLY SEVERAL HOURS! The staff at VCA couldn’t believe the change. He was talking, stretching, and demanding attention. He is starting to be his old self. Now when you look in his eyes, he is actually there.
He still looks like the poster kitty for famine and malnutrition but he has decided to rejoin life and is becoming interested in food. His jaw is still really sore (it has to stay wired for four more weeks) and he still has the feeding tube (which will come out on Monday).
I can’t thank you enough. I don’t know if he would have made it…I don’t think he had enough will to make it through the truama of being lost for 2 months, starving, and the pain from being hit by a car. I think his adventure used several of his 9 lives!
He comes home tonight, then back to VCA to have the tube removed on Monday. I’ll send more pictures soon and he will be calling for a follow up treatment. The next time you see him, he will be strutting in your waiting room!
Hugs and Smiles from all of us!
